Make it rain! Once the Purple Pearl’s soil has dried out and it’s time to water again, make sure to thoroughly drench the soil, allowing any excess water to drain through the bottom.
Can’t stand the heat? Echeveria Purple Pearl prefers dry air so be sure to keep them out of bathrooms and kitchens.
Light
Thrives in bright, indirect light and will appreciate direct sunlight for a few hours a day. A little bit of sun will bring out the Purple Pearl’s deepest colour.
Watering
Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering. Water thoroughly and allow to drain freely. Water directly into soil to avoid fungal infections in the rosette.
Temperature
This Echeveria is happy in places with temperatures between 18°C and 24°C and can cope in as low as 5°C for short periods.
Humidity
The Purple Pearl will thrive in average household humidity. Mist slightly if leaves begin to droop or curl.
Feed
Echeveria grow well without added fertiliser but would benefit from a small dose of very weak cacti feed in spring and summer.
