Kalanchoe Luciae Fantastic – Paddle Plant

Kalanchoe luciae ‘Fantastic’ elegantly displays its stunning beauty by forming compact, ground-hugging rosettes. These rosettes consist of generously sized, grey-green leaves decorated with winding pale yellow stripes and a hint of reddish hues tracing their gently curving edges.

The Paddle Plant, a low-maintenance succulent prized for its air-purifying properties, changes its colours in reaction to shifts in light and temperature, smoothly transitioning from lush greens to vibrant shades of creamy white, blush pink, and scarlet red.

Give me a twirl! Rotating this plant a quarter turn every week or so will encourage even growth and colouring.

All or nothing! When watering, soak the soil and then leave to dry completely. Rinse and repeat!

No to ice and a slice! Kalanchoe luciae can be sensitive to cold shock, so use room-temperature water and water the soil, not the leaves.

Light

Will thrive in bright light year-round, but can cope with partial shade for a while. Rotating every few days can help encourage even growth and colour.

Watering

Allow soil to dry out in between waterings, infrequent soakings are recommended. Avoid getting water on the leaves as this will damage the plant.

Temperature

Will thrive in temperatures between 15°C and 24°C, can tolerate drops to as low as 10°C.

Humidity

Kalanchoe luciae will be happy with average household humidity levels.

Feed

Will appreciate a cactus fertiliser solution once every 1 – 2 months in spring and summer.
