Soak up that sunshine! The Chinese Money Plant is a little bit of a sun-worshipper and will benefit from lots of bright, indirect light.
Droopy leaves can be a sign of overwatering, so make sure you allow the soil to begin to dry out in between waterings to avoid this.
Hot to trot! The Pilea Peperomioides loves a warm environment and will thrive in it, but it is hardy enough to tolerate as low as 10°C.
Light
Peperomioides prefers moderate to bright, indirect light but will tolerate partial shade. Avoid direct sunlight as this may scorch the plant.
Watering
Water when the soil has begun to dry out. Note: the leaves will begin to droop if the plant needs to be watered. Don’t let the plant sit in water.
Temperature
The Chinese Money Plant likes average to warm temperatures: anything between 16-24°C, but can cope with as low as 10°C.
Humidity
Pilea Peperomioides need fairly high humidity levels. Place in a typically steamy room such as the kitchen or bathroom and mist regularly.
Feed
Apply a half-strength balanced fertiliser once or twice a month during the growing season.
Height & Growth Rate
The Chinese Money Plant is fast-growing and usually reaches an ultimate height of around 25cm to 30cm.
Toxicity
This Pilea is considered non-toxic. Safe around children and animals.
